From the doc: 'Advanced Call Recorder records telephone conversations to your computer's hard disk. It stores calls as standard Windows sound files. Advanced Call Recorder can record conversations as long as your hard disk can store. The program is Caller ID compatible so there is no need to type numbers and names of calling parties. The software has an option to start recording from a telephone line automatically whenever a receiver is put off. The program is compatible with Windows 98, ME, and Windows NT, 2000 and XP. Providing you have a PC and a voice modem, you can use it to record any phone conversation such as business discussions, negotiations, or just conversations. The main features of the program are: - Windows-compatible application for recording calls from the telephone with Graphical interface - Record calls to a hard disk as Windows sound file - Record all calls automatically when a receiver is off-hook - Maximum recording time limited only by size of your hard disk - Compatibility with Caller ID service, which means that when an incoming cal occurs the program automatically displays caller's number and name.' |

Key Logger: (Keystroke Logger). A program that runs in the background, recording all the keystrokes. Once keystrokes are logged, they are hidden in the machine for later retrieval, or shipped raw to the attacker. The attacker then peruses them carefully in the hopes of either finding passwords, or possibly other useful information that could be used to compromise the system or be used in a social engineering attack. For example, a key logger will reveal the contents of all e-mail composed by the user. Keylog programs are commonly included in rootkits and RATs (remote administration trojans). |
